I'm originally from Massachusetts. I flew down to Florida on a whim to look at a pool route for sale, and I never left. That day, we took over 30 accounts. Over the next decade, we grew that into over 800 weekly maintenance accounts and a retail supply store.
We saw it all. We saw the fiberglass pools fading. We saw liners cracking prematurely. We saw customers dealing with the hassle of liquid chlorine and spending their Saturdays scrubbing their pools instead of being at their kid's soccer game.
We realized that a 'clear' pool isn't necessarily a comfortable one. Harsh chemicals make water clear, but they can also affect hair and irritate skin with prolonged exposure. We knew there had to be a way to create pristine, mineral-rich water that protects your family and your investment. That's when we found Low-Chlo.
The Mystery Customer from Arkansas
It wasn't a lab discovery. It started with a customer who drove all the way from Arkansas to our store in Florida.
She had a sanitation system on her pool that she loved, but didn't know who had installed it or how to maintain it. She asked us to come and take a look.
When we inspected the equipment, we were genuinely surprised. It wasn't salt. It wasn't a standard chlorine setup. But the water was crystal clear and virtually chemical-free. That moment changed everything.
We tracked down the original inventor and made a deal: allow us to beta-test this technology on our own route. In 2018, we started our first beta test. We didn't want to just sell it — we wanted to stress-test it.
6 Years of Real-World Data
We didn't launch overnight. We spent 6 years collecting data from real pools across Florida, monitoring them weekly to validate the technology's performance across different pool types, sizes, and climates.
The Patent Acquisition
After seeing the results — consistently clear water, significantly reduced corrosion, and genuinely satisfied families — we approached the company in 2023 and acquired the patent.
