How does this pool get sanitized?
The way it sanitizes the pool is simple. The technical term is oxidation reduction. This happens as the water passes through the vortex bottom plate then swirls through the dissimilar metals causing an electrolitic effect where electrons are donated to the molecules in the water causing then to break down. Other metals in the blend are also releasing ions which destroys the cellular body of organisms. Then we use the chlorine tablet to oxidize these dead particles back to a solid to filter them out.

Yes. The owner's manual includes a step-by-step process for converting a salt-chlorinated pool to a Low-Chlo freshwater setup. The process involves installing the Low-Chlo system, gradually diluting the pool water to bring salinity below 2,000 ppm — typically by partially draining and refilling — then opening the Low-Chlo bypass and running the system normally. It is not necessary to fully drain the pool, and doing so is not recommended as it can cause structural issues.
The system can be installed by a confident DIYer following the included owner's manual, but professional installation by a qualified pool technician is recommended to ensure correct plumbing and bypass setup. A PVC bypass manifold must be installed on the return line after the filter, with flow direction oriented correctly per the manual.
